BTS becomes the first foreign act to surpass 300,000 points on the Oricon Chart

BTS ranks first in the Oricon weekly single chart with a score of 360,000 Oricon points with their 8th Japanese single release the triple A side 'Mic Drop/Crystal Snow'. It is the first time that an overseas artist exceeded 300,000 points in the history of the Oricon charts (tracking week of December 4-10). It also topped the Oricon daily charts for a week. BTS has proven their popularity in Japan and this is their third Japanese release which has achieved the top spot in the Oricon Charts, the previous ones being Chi, Ase, Namida (Blood Sweat & Tears JP version) and their Love Yourself: Her album.
This comes ahead of BTS making their Japanese primetime television debut on TV Asahi's Music Station Super Live on December 22.
